The architectural practice was asked to redesign the restaurant space in order to change its identity.The idea was to create a warm and exquisite space, where one being there, can feel comfortable at once.The materials and the colours used in this project were drawn from the restaurant’s name, where Psomi (bread) symbolizes the earth and Alati (salt) symbolizes the sea.It was decided to keep the kitchen an open space, connecting it with the rest of the restaurant and emphasize it with a strong lighted element made of glass.The wooden ceiling not only offers warmth in the space but also, plays an important role as far as the room acoustics is concerned, creating a “quiet” environment.
